Seedsowing Network

The school operates 5 days a week and teaches reading, writing and arithmetic using Montessori principles. We aim for children to enter a primary school in two years (UK equivalent of junior school). A typical day starts with singing and prayers and we teach simple bible stories before classes start.

The school was started in 2000 by Jane Thomas a Kenyan teacher and social worker, who helped at the Red Cross feeding station and wanted to do more for the children. It started with a dozen pupils and has grown over the years. It now helps 700 children.
