Miriam was in our pre unit class in 2009 and the following was written about her at that time. Since then she has progressed to senior school.
"It is clear through her interactions with other children that she is an older sibling. She has two younger brothers, Abraham and Abu who also attend Mahali Pa Watoto.
Miriam has a fiery spirit but is also very motherly and tender. She lives coming to school because she says it is “smart”, the new building is a heaven for many of our children. Miriam likes to learn language at Mahali and she is quickly picking up English.
When she grows up Miriam would like to be a teacher. At home as the eldest child Miriam helps her single mother by washing the dishes and taking care of her younger siblings. She loves God because he gives her gifts of food and clothing".
