The school is a slum escape route, offering hope, and transition to into formal education after 2 or 3 years, thereby avoiding a life on the streets or in crime.  

Without the development this project provides, children like those shown here are unable to integrate into school life in the state system

In a few short years the school teaches basics like reading writing and arithmetic and provides clothing, food, discipline and the social skills needed to enter the state system.

As a regular visitor to the school the transformation that takes place is striking.
